Students from School of Urban Construction Won the 3rd prize in the 3rd National Smart City and Intelligent Construction College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest

Recently, the 3rd National Smart City and Intelligent Construction College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest came to an end. The entry "Masonry Wall Construction Process and Refined Management Based on BIM Technology" by students of School of Urban Construction ranked 38th among 87 teams of creative group and won the 3rd prize.

Through the contest, the students enhanced their ability to adopt BIM technology to solve engineering project management problems, improved their creative thinking and scientific research ability, and achieved the purpose of promoting learning through contest and research.

The competition was sponsored by Teaching Guidance Sub- committee of Engineering Management and Engineering Cost Specialty of Ministry of Education and organized by Chang'an University. The main candidates were divided into creative group and entrepreneurial group, and the company group was divided into Guanglianda themed contest and Luban themed contest. The contest includes six themes, such as Digital Design and CIM (SCSC-1), Intelligent Perception and Engineering Internet of Things (SCSC-2), Intelligent Engineering Equipment and Construction Robots (SCSC-3), and Dual Carbon and Urban Sustainability (SCSC-6), etc., aiming to comprehensively cultivate the innovative thinking and scientific research ability of college and university students, strengthen their teamwork spirit, and enhance their creative and practical ability in engineering management.
