On March 31st, School of Urban Construction successfully hosted the 2023 International Forum on High-Quality Urban Development & the 13th Yuanye Summit Forum sub-forum, themed on Curriculum Teaching Reform and Innovation Forum. The sub-forum was held both online and offline, with Pro.Meng Yuan, the director of School of Urban Construction , presiding over it.
The sub-forum closely focused on the theme of using small breakthroughs in curriculum reform to drive the solution to the big problem of talent cultivation mode, and achieving strong breakthroughs in higher education reform and innovation development, which was proposed in the 2023 work plan of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. During the forum, teachers from nine domestic and foreign universities shared their ideas on education goals, curriculum systems, innovative strategies reform effectiveness, AI technology applications, etc. Pro.Ma Jing from the School of Urban Construction shared her thoughts and practical explorations on the teaching innovation of Site Design course based on the community of teachers and students.
2023 International Forum on High-Quality Urban Development & the 13th Yuanye Summit Forum sub-forum were jointly hosted by Beijing City University and International Association for Landscape Ecology. Nearly 100 leaders of relevant industry departments, industry experts and scholars, well-known corporate executives from China and abroad were invited to exchange ideas and discuss cutting-edge topics, such as urban-rural integration, urban renewal, livable communities, and rural revitalization from a multidisciplinary perspective. The forum aimed to explore new pathways for innovative-driven high-quality urban development.
