In March 2023, the Confucius institute at the university of Guadalajara, Mexico held four cultural activities: the lecture “Quanzhou —— the starting point of the Chinese maritime silk road”, Spring Themed Calligraphy Talent Show, the Chinese Knowledge Contest and Chinese Paper-cutting Workshop, More than 70 participants attended these events. Students from the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara and the public responded enthusiastically.

The teachers of the Confucius Institute introduced the historical features and cultural customs of China to the students and local residents from different perspectives, and let them feel the Chinese art such as calligraphy and paper cutting through different forms.This is the first large-scale series of cultural activities since the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara was officially launched on January 30,2023. With the the elaborate preparation of the Confucius Institute, the wonderful performance of the teachers and the warm reception of the campus, the workshops have won the warm welcome among the students and parents at present.

This year, the the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara will continue to hold more distinctive cultural activities.
