From March 21 to 22, local time, Guo Xiaoxia, the Chinese Director of San Marino Confucius Institute, attended the opening ceremony of the International Chinese Education Expert Forum-International Chinese Education Teaching Materials, Teaching Methods and Effects, and Chinese Textbook Exhibition.The forum was hosted by the Confucius Institute at the University of Rome, the directors and principals of the Confucius Institute / Independent Confucius Class in Italy and San Marino attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Yu Xingguo, the counselor of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in Italy, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, raising expectations on the Confucius institutes from three aspects: improving the teaching quality, promoting the high-quality development of the Confucius Institute and improving the influence of the Confucius Institute. Allesandra Lavagnino, a Famous Italian Sinologist, Federico Masini,Vice President of the World Chinese Language Teaching Society, and Joël Bellassen, the Chinese Educational Inspector of France made wonderful reports on the history and prospect of Chinese teaching in Italy, the development trend of international Chinese education, the key points, experience and suggestions of teaching Chinese culture. The participants also discussed and shared the opinions on the digitization of Chinese teaching, Chinese language test grading standardization and so on.
