Recently, San Marino Confucius Institute celebrated the Chinese Lantern Festival with more than 20 local residents. The guests at first visited Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum and Chinese Culture Library in the Confucius Institute. During the event, the Confucius Institute delivered a cultural lecture on the Lantern Festival introducing the customs of watching the lantern show and making the sweet dumplings with sticky rice (Yuan Xiao) during the Festival.The guests are also invited to make lanterns and shaking the Yuanxiao by themselves on that day.
This activity has enhanced the understanding of the local residents on the Chinese Lantern Festival and also promoted the intangible cultural heritage and tradition in China.
