On November 27th, the finals of the 2022 Computer Application Competition for College Students from Five provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in North China came to an end. After fierce competition, teachers and students from the School of Information Technology won two first prizes and two third prizes in the undergraduate group. Thanks to the guidance of Pro. Liu Xuemei, the interdisciplinary team formed by students from School of Information Technology and School of Education, won the first prize in the undergraduate group for the work Hi, Cake (Play Cool 890).

2022 Computer Application Competition for College Students from Five provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in North China and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan area is jointly organized by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Shanxi Provincial Education Department, Hebei Education Department and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Education Department. More than 400 teams from nearly 100 universities participated in the competition, including Beijing Institute of Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing, North China Electric Power University, Shanxi University, Tiangong University.

By establishing a scientific and effective competition organization system, and relying on the advantages and characteristic professional clusters of BCU, the School of Information Technology explores the training goals of engineering talents with multidisciplinary cross-integration. It expands the application of new technologies and creative design, committing to providing a broad stage for cultivating students' engineering quality and innovation ability.
