The joint research project:Regenerative design for micro-territories and small fortified cities

On November 11th, Beijing City University, University of San Marino, University of Bologna and San Marino Confucius Institute officially launched the joint research project with the theme of Regenerative design for micro-territories and small fortified cities. Director of the School of Design of University of San Marino, the Scholars in Bologna, Directors of the San Marino Confucius Institute , Professors of the school of Urban Construction and International Affairs Office of BCU attended the seminar.


The objective of the project is to analyze and define how design can help small towns, villages, communities to better enhance their heritage and collect value from it. Through the analysis and design of typical cases, the transformation of cultural value to economic value can be realized to better serve the development of small towns, villages, communities and ancient cities.

This meeting confirms the work progress of the project and the members of academic committees. This is the first international joint research project collaborated with the partner institutions of BCU.The reasearch results of the joint project will be shared in the seminar at University of San Marino and officially published in the public Journals of San Marino.
