On October 20th, the International Affairs Office of Beijing City University(BCU) organized the cultural lecture on "Chronologies in China". More than 30 students from the Confucius Institute at University of Guadalajara and local residents participated in the activity.

In the lecture, the teacher introduced the Chinese Chronologies from the aspects of classification, origin, customs and cultural expression. Through the display of pictures and videos, the students have had a more comprehensive understanding of "the chronology of Heavenly Stems and Early Branches" and the "Chinese Zodiac Law". The students responded and communicated with the teacher actively, and showed their strong interest in Chinese culture.

It is reported that this activity is one of the bilingual lecture series on Chinese culture organized by the International Affairs Office. We will organize more colorful cultural activities in the future, which will further enhance the international students' understanding of Chinese culture, and achieve good cultural exchanges and interaction.
