On September 9th, the first round of Chinese courses delivered in the high schools officially starts. This is the first time that the Confucius Institute at the University of Guadalajara imbeds Chinese courses into the curriculum of high school in Guadalajara.10 high schools were selected as pilot Chinese language projects and the Confucius Institute will be in charge of the Chinese language teaching.
The Chinese course for the high schools affiliated to University of Guadalajara will be carried out online. It will last six semesters from Grade 10 to 12. 150 students from 10 high schools are expected to pass the Chinese HSK3 level test after completing 720 class hours of course.
