Early Childhood Education Faculty Webinar with Humber College in Canada

On April 12th, the webinar was held by Humber College in Canada and the School of Education of BCU. Professor James Bulger, Head of Academic Activities of Preschool Education and Vice Dean of the School of Health, and other 6 teachers from Humber College, Dr. Shi Huanxia, Deputy Director of the School of Education and Director of the Preschool Education Office, Dr. Yang Xiaobo, Head of International Exchange of the School of Education, as well as teachers in the fields of Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education and Special Education of the Department of Preschool Education attended the webinar. This meeting was presided over by Ms. Li Xuemeng, the Deputy Director of the International Affairs Office of BCU.

At the meeting, Prof. Fizgerald of Humber College introduced how the Humber College runs and recommended relevant works of teachers who participating the meeting.

Deputy Director Shi Huanxia introduced the overall situation of the Preschool Education of the School of Education, and gave a detailed explanation of its training path, training room and internship base of Preschool Education majors.

After that, Humber College answered the questions raised by teachers from BCU on professional fields. Then the two sides also communicated and discussed cooperation issues such as practical teaching curriculum construction and exchange lectures, for the purpose to gradually expand exchanges and cooperation in professional fields and promote the common development of the two universities.

The communication built an effective communication platform for the two universities, deepening the understanding of each other's educational philosophy and culture. It also effectively expanded the international vision of teachers from both sides, and laid the foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two universities in curriculum construction and academic exchanges. At the same time, the cooperation and exchange has stimulated the enthusiasm of BCU teachers to participate in the integration curriculum of Humber College, which helps teachers to integrate multiculturalism into teaching and continuously improve the quality of professional talent cultivation.
