In order to enhance students’ interest of English learning, improve their oral communication skills, and create good atmosphere for our students to learn English, the International Affairs Office organized a series of activities to improve students’ English level. On March 30th, the office invited Daniel, a foreign teacher from the School of International Culture and Communication, to hold an online English IELTS Workshop. More than 1000 students from different departments took part in.

Daniel was graduated from Milan Bicocca University of Italy and has more than ten years' experience in English teaching. This workshop is titled IELTS speaking: balancing accuracy and fluency. Firstly, Daniel analyzed the main difficulties faced by students in English learning, especially the challenges in speaking. Then combined with his experience, Daniel proposed corresponding learning methods, and gave students suggestions of long-term training to improve their speaking fluency and accuracy. At the end, Daniel explained the questions students put forward in details.

It is reported that the International Office will carry out more English Salon activities in April, providing more opportunities for students to improve their English level.
