Chinese Cultural Activity Immersive Experiencing

The International Affairs Office organized a cultural exchange activity with the theme of "reviewing the development process of China and understanding the history of BCU development" for all the BCU foreign faculties, which provided a platform for them especially for the new teachers to feel the blend of traditional heritage and modern civilization, know more about Chinese culture, understand BCU general situation, and experience BCU development.

Firstly, the teacher from International Affairs Office introduced BCU development. Then, the foreign faculty learned about the military parade scene during the 70th anniversary of China’s National Day and watched the video of the school’s achievements in Chaobai Lecture Hall. All the foreign faculty visited the "Regional Coordination" float of the 20th phalanx of the mass parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of China’s National Day.

After that, the foreign teachers visited the exhibition of the works of teachers and students from the School of Art and Design and School of Fine Arts and Crafts. The ceramic art workshop was specially arranged by the School of Fine Arts and Crafts so that foreign teachers can experience the traditional crafts in person and understand the long history and modern innovative development of Chinese ceramic art.

The foreign faculty expressed that their understanding of China's development and the school's achievement had enhanced their sense of identity, pride and cohesion with BCU after the event.

David, an American foreign teacher who has just finished his work in South Korea and joined BCU, said that this event gave him an understanding of the development of China and BCU, and he was extremely proud of being a member of BCU.

Daniel, another American foreign teacher said that this event was very informative and interesting and he was impressed by the works of the art students. And he was happy to learn about our university and how to make pottery.
