BCU Team Achieves Outstanding Results in the 2025 iCAN National College Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition – “Dingtang Cup” Digital Business Simulation Challenge

On December 15, the award ceremony for the 2025 iCAN National College Student Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition – “Dingtang CupDigital Business Simulation Challenge concluded successfully. After eight months of competition across four rounds, a team from the School of Economics and Management at Beijing City University (BCU) stood out among more than 1,200 teams from over 200 universities nationwide, winning one First Prize and one Third Prize at the National Finals, as well as two Second Prizes, two Third Prizes, and two Merit Awards at the Provincial Level. Among them, the team of Yang Jimin, Ren Hetao, and Hou Jingjing was awarded the National First Prize for their differentiated competitive strategy and efficient operational management, while the team of Zhao Jing and Li Yafei received the National Third Prize for their innovative online cross-border + offline experientialbusiness model. Faculty advisors Zhang Cheng and Lin Chen were honored as Outstanding Instructors.

The School of Economics and Management launched a dedicated preparation program through its Department of Business Administrations Enterprise Competition Simulation Club. Starting in April, the School selected 10 teams comprising 28 students from multiple majorsincluding Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Cultural Industry Management, Cross-border E-commerce, and Accountingfor the competition. Throughout the preparation period, faculty advisors combined classroom teaching with practical business experience to provide comprehensive guidance to all participating teams.

Centered on the theme “AI-Driven, Intelligent Entrepreneurship,” this year’s competition responds to China’s national innovation-driven development strategy. By simulating real-world business environments, it assessed participants’ integrated capabilities in market analysis, strategic planning, and resource allocation, aiming to cultivate students’ digital thinking and entrepreneurial practice skills.
