On November 16, Beijing City University (BCU) hosted the degree conferral ceremony for the China-UK joint Master’s program in Programme and Project Management with the University of Warwick, alongside Alumni Reunion Event, at the Zhongguancun Innovation Think Tank Center of BCU. In attendance were Professor Ye Yingfang, the Vice Chair of the University Council of BCU; Mrs. Nicole Craddock-Zhang, International Partnerships Manager of Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), the University of Warwick; and faculty representatives from both institutions.


During the degree conferral ceremony, Ye Yingfang and Nicole Craddock-Zhang delivered opening remarks. Professor Kerry Kirwan, Dean of WMG, extended warm congratulations to the graduates via a pre-recorded video message, praising their academic achievements and highlighting the strong and fruitful collaboration between the two universities in the field of China-foreign cooperative education. Graduate representatives Yang Yue and Wang Dengzhi shared heartfelt reflections on their learning journeys and professional growth, showcasing notable career advancements made since joining the program.To recognize academic excellence, BCU established the “Outstanding Academic Achievement Award” for graduates who earned a Merit or higher classification this year. Professor Ifonima Essien, Deputy Head of Skills and Education Engagement Group at WMG, presented awards to the graduates on site. Subsequently, the graduates took the stage one by one to receive the tassel-turning ceremony amidst their supervisors’ well-wishes, followed by commemorative group photos.


Coinciding with the University of Warwick’s 60th anniversary and WMG’s 45th anniversary, the joint Alumni Reunion Event brought together distinguished alumni to reconnect and discuss future pathways. Notable alumni such as Wang Liying, Deputy Branch Manager of Zheshang Bank Beijing Wangjing Sub-branch, and Liu Muxin, Deputy General Manager of Business Development at Tai'er InfoFusion Technology Co., Ltd. (under China Academy of Information and Communications Technology), shared how the program profoundly shaped their careers. They also engaged current students and fellow alumni in insightful dialogues on emerging business trends, industry opportunities, and challenges—actively fostering a platform for resource sharing and collaboration.


The successful hosting of these two significant events not only underscores the solid outcomes of BCU and the University of Warwick’s partnership in cultivating high-caliber, globally minded professionals but also injects new momentum into building a lifelong alumni support ecosystem, advancing industry-education integration, and strengthening professional capabilities within a global context.
