On April 2nd, the Working Committee Conference of the International Chinese Education Practice and Research Base for Private Universities was convened in a hybrid format at our university's Zhongguancun Innovation Think Tank Center. The conference was chaired by Hu Qing, Secretary-General of the Base's Working Committee, with participation from leaders of over ten member institutions.
The meeting was held to thoroughly implement the Party and state's policy guidance, summarize the Base's phased accomplishments, discuss future development roadmaps, and further unite the intellectual resources of private universities to promote high-quality development of international Chinese education and enhance the effective global dissemination of Chinese culture.

Hou Jian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the China Private Education Association, addressed the conference. She emphasized that in the context of globalization, international Chinese education serves not merely as language instruction but as a vital bridge for civilizational exchange. Noting how private universities have emerged as significant contributors in this field through their flexible mechanisms and innovative dynamism, she observed that all participating institutions possess distinctive strengths in traditional cultural dissemination, with some having achieved remarkable outcomes.
On behalf of the Private Education Association, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support from the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education. Stressing the Association's ongoing commitment, she affirmed plans to systematically facilitate private education institutions' participation in this endeavor, thereby creating an innovative framework characterized by domestic collaboration and international outreach.
Hou further revealed that the Association's Professional Committee for International Dissemination of Chinese Culture is currently in preparation. This committee, she explained, will effectively assist member institutions in consolidating their specialized resources and establishing cooperative platforms to bolster the global outreach of Chinese culture. Concluding her remarks, she called upon all institutions to join hands in advancing this long-term mission.

At the conference, leaders from all 14 member institutions of the Base Working Committee actively shared their valuable experiences and achievements in international Chinese education, global dissemination of Chinese culture, and international exchange and cooperation.
The meeting identified eight key tasks for the Base this year, including convening the "Conference on Collaborative Mechanism Building for International Chinese Education in Chinese Private Universities." Participants reviewed and approved the "Priority Tasks for the Working Committee of the International Chinese Education Practice and Research Base for Private Universities."

Ye Yingfang, Deputy Party Secretary of our university, delivered the concluding remarks. She emphasized that the establishment of the Base was initiated under the guidance of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, and has since received strong support from the China Private Education Association.
Moving forward, Beijing City University will collaborate with other private universities to create a platform for resource sharing and complementary advantages. The institution is committed to pioneering new approaches in international Chinese education, exploring innovative pathways for cultural dissemination, and fully leveraging private universities' role in serving national strategies, while simultaneously creating new development opportunities for the sector.
In closing, on behalf of Beijing City University, she pledged to provide comprehensive support and services for the Base's future operations, working hand-in-hand with fellow private universities to pursue mutual development.
