Recently, the 2023 German Red Dot Design Award, the United States IDEA Industrial Design Award, the Korean K-DESIGN Design Award winners have been announced, the school of Art and Design students' work "Easy Cooking" with its unique design concept and innovative structure has been praised by the international judges, won the above three international design awards.

Easy Cooking was designed by Wang Jingyi, a 2020 Industrial design major student in the School of Arts and Design, and the instructor was Qiu Qi. The work is a portable butane gas stove designed specifically for campers. The design adopts simple style and rotating structure, which skillfully solves the problem that the traditional butane gas stove is difficult to store and transport. When not in use, the stove head and stove rack can be completely hidden in the box, open the lid when in use, and put the gas tank into the box. The simple shape and structure not only give the product a unique beauty, but also effectively save manufacturing materials, and the metal materials used are durable and recyclable.

The German Red Dot Design Award is one of the three top international design awards, consisting of product design award, Communication Design Award and design concept award. Nearly 4,000 entries from 54 countries competed for the Red Dot Design Concept Award, and 211 entries were awarded, a record low number of awards.

The IDEA Industrial Design Awards have been in existence for 43 years and are co-sponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of America and Business Week. As the only worldwide industrial design award hosted by the United States, the selection criteria of the IDEA Award focus on the "commercial value of the product" and "humanization". Each year, the Industrial Designers Society of America selects the top product design in a specific industrial field, awards the IDEA award, and publishes it in the current issue of Business Weekly magazine.

Known as one of the top three design awards in Asia, the K-DESIGN Awards recognize products with potential as well as design projects with excellent creativity and ideas.
