Visual Image Design Competition Held by Beijing City University and San Marino University

Recently, led by the San Marino Confucius Institute, Design major of University of San Marino and BCU jointly held a three-month Visual Image Design Competition in the theme of "50th Year of Diplomatic Ties Establishment between China and San Marino".

 

In the competition, 33 entries were appraised by the Jury Committee consisting experts and scholars from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in San Marino, Beijing City University, San Marino University and San Marino Confucius Institute, and 8 entries were finally selected to be awarded first, second, and third prizes respectively. Among them, entry 26 sent by BCU, and entry 7 sent by San Marino University were tied for the first prizes. According to the competition plan, the entry 7 winning work is confirmed by the relevant authorities in San Marino and will be used as the publicity poster and logo of comemorative goods, and the mother set of commemorative stamp design for the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties Establishment between China and San Marino.


 

The competition was highly praised and affirmed by the relevant departments of the Republic of San Marino, and both schools also attached great importance to it and responded positively. Prior to the competition, San Marino University issued a notice of the competition on its official website and announced the competition plan. BCU also communicated and mobilized the competition through the Discipline Competition Office of the School of Arts and Design.

  

In addition, all the entries will be publicly displayed on the commemorative activities of 50th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Ties Establishment between China and San Marino in May, and the award ceremony of the winning works will be held then.


 Professor WANG Limin and Professor SHI Wei from the School of Arts and Design in BCU, and Professor LI Yujun, Chinese Director of the San Marino Confucius Institute attended the above review activities. The International Affairs Office and the School of Arts and Design of BCU participated in the whole event.
