Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to China Carlos Larrea Dávila visited our school

The Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to China Carlos Larea Dávila donated Ecuadorian publication to Beijing City University (BCU) On May 27, 2021 during a visit in BCUs Haidian Campus. On behalf of BCU, President Liu Lin awarded Ambassador Carlos Larrea Dávila the letter of appointment to the honorary professor.




The Ambassador Carlos Larea Dávila and his delegation visited Beijing City University. Professor Liu Lin, Chair of the University Council and President of the University, received the visit warmly, and the teachers and students of relevant departments participated in the event.




At the ceremony, President Liu Lin, on behalf of BCU, welcomed and thanked this visit and donation, hoping that more opportunities can be created to introduce Ecuadorian literature and history to the teachers and students of BCU. Ambassador Carlos Larrea Dávila then expressed his thanks to President Liu Lin for his welcome. He also expressed his congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC.





BCU has always been paying attention to training international talents, and been deepening international exchanges and cooperation, covering more than 20 countries and regions. Among them, the Spanish language major is representative in deeper international cooperation, thus this donation will build a platform for cultural exchanges for the youth of the two countries.


The cooperative relations between China and Ecuador have lasted for over 40 years, being stable and friendly, and the Ecuadorian government has always supported China's foreign policies. China and Ecuador have been helping each other and overcoming difficulties against the pandemic, and China's policies and measures to prevent and control the pandemic are highly appreciated. President Liu Lin and the Ambassador Carlos Larea Dávila all expressed their wishes on promoting better platforms to enhance the youth cultural cultivation of the two countries.
