Two courses of Beijing City University were selected as the second batch of national-level first-class undergraduate courses

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the second batch of national-level first-class undergraduate course recognition, recognizing a total of 5,750 courses as the second batch of national-level first-class undergraduate courses. Two courses recommended by Beijing City University have been recognized, achieving a historic breakthrough. Among them, the course College English led by Pro.Qi Ying was recognized as a blended online and offline first-class course, and the course Cognitive Investigation in Urban and Rural Areas led by Associate Professor Liu Rui was recognized as a first-class course in social practice.

Curriculum development is the foundation of teaching reform, an important part of undergraduate teaching projects, and a powerful tool for talent cultivation. BCU has always attached great importance to curriculum development, establishing a curriculum development management mechanism based on course classification and quality evaluation, improving incentive mechanisms for curriculum development with a focus on quality, and promoting new concepts in curriculum development. BCU have made certain achievements, including 12 high-quality Beijing University-level undergraduate courses and 5 exemplary ideological and political courses in Beijing universities. In the future, BCU will further promote curriculum classification development, leverage the exemplary and leading role of national-level first-class undergraduate courses, and promote the further improvement of the university's curriculum development level.
